Ford F-250

Ford equips the F-250 with three engine options. The base XL trim houses a standard 6.8L gas V8 engine under its hood. This powerhouse delivers 405 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the XLT and other trims above can get motivation from an optional 7.3-liter gas V8 engine with 430 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque. You can select the dominant 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 turbodiesel engine for more power. This engine produces 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet in its standard form or 500 horsepower and 1,200 pound-feet of torque in its high-output iteration. The engines pair with a sole TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission for smooth performance. Five selectable modes, Normal, Eco, Slippery, Tow/Haul, and Deep Sand/Snow, are also included to help tackle varying terrain conditions. F-250 models with the available Tremor Off-Road Package have an extra Rock Crawl mode.
