The 2021 Ford F-250 brings many powerful engines to the table around Tehama County. The base 6.2-liter flex-fuel gas V8 already works well enough to get the job done, but with the available 7.3-liter OHV PFI gas V8 engine, you can go above and beyond. 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque lead full-size pickup class, offering the most powerful engine setup. Add on a best conventional towing rating of 21,000 pounds and a best-in-class payload rating of 7,850 pounds, and you've got yourself a winner. And, finally, tow huge loads with a gooseneck tow rating of 37,000 pounds.
Sierra 2500
The 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 rivals the F-250's horsepower and torque but falls significantly short in the towing and payload department near Corning. The Sierra 2500 features two engine options, a 6.6-liter V8 gas engine, and a 6.6-liter V8 Turbo diesel engine. The gas engine pumps out 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, while the Turbodiesel brings 445 horsepower and a whopping 910 pound-feet of torque. However, the Sierra 2500's gas engine only tows 18,500 pounds both conventionally and for gooseneck towing. The max payload only comes up to 3,597 pounds. The diesel engine's conventional towing is even lower at a rating of 14,500 pounds, while the max gooseneck rating comes up to 16,520 pounds. The max payload adds some pounds, coming out at 3,862 pounds.
